The word “aouie” came from a name I once held close to my heart. It was meant to be the name of my second child. When my wife and I were advised that we could no longer have more children, that name did not disappear. Instead, it found a different life.

I did not want to let it go. I turned it into something that could still grow, something that could still carry meaning. That is how aouie became my next vision.

aouie is made entirely of vowels. I see vowels as the connector. They do not stand strong on their own, but without them, words fall apart. They bring sound, flow, and life to language. In the same way, I believe creativity needs connection to exist. Creatives cannot grow without learning. Ideas cannot come to life without collaboration. Clients cannot reach their vision without the people who help build it.

aouie became my way of honoring the things that often go unseen but make everything work. It represents the space between talent and opportunity, between imagination and execution. More than a company name, aouie is something I see growing into a learning institution one day. A place where creatives are nurtured, guided and connected.

Like beetzee, aouie came from something deeply personal. It was born from love, reshaped by circumstance and turned into purpose.
