“beetzee” comes from the names of two of Cham Guevarra’s vehicles. “beet” from his Honda Beat motorcycle, and “zee” from his Swift dZire, which he and his daughter Q fondly call “Zyrie” or “Z”.

“I chose to use ‘beet’ first because motorcycles don’t have a reverse gear. They only move forward, just like I had to. When I came up with the name, I was in a dark place. ‘zee’ was on the verge of being taken by the bank. I was behind on payments and barely holding on. Naming it beetzee became my way of telling myself to keep going, to push forward no matter how heavy the burden. It’s not just a name. It’s a reminder of every battle I had to fight and win to be where I am now.”
